Privacy & Security

How does Dinario protect my privacy?

5 Privacy Layers:

  1. Ephemeral wallets - Banks never see your main wallet

  2. Jupiter routing - Obfuscates swap origin

  3. Zcash encryption - Encrypts transaction receipts

  4. Separation - Your wallet is separate from your KYC identity

  5. Non-custodial - We never control your funds

See Privacy Model for details.

Can banks see my main wallet?

No. Banks only see the ephemeral wallet (a one-time wallet created for your transaction).

Your main wallet, holdings, and trading history remain completely hidden.

Can I verify the privacy myself?

Yes! Use Helius Orb to verify:

  1. Search for the ephemeral wallet (shown in your receipt)

  2. See the transaction flow (swap → Bridge transfer)

  3. Search for your main wallet

  4. Verify NO connection between the two

On-chain verification: Privacy is provable.

Is my data secure?

Yes.

  • ✅ KYC data encrypted by Sumsub (SOC 2 Type II certified)

  • ✅ Bank details sent directly to Bridge (encrypted)

  • ✅ We don't store your wallet private keys (non-custodial)

  • ✅ We don't store your bank account details

  • Maximum (Tier 1): $10,000 per transaction, $50,000 per month

  • Maximum (Tier 2): Higher limits with enhanced verification

KYC & Compliance

Why do you require KYC?

It's the law. All crypto-to-fiat services in the US must comply with:

  • FinCEN (Financial Crimes Enforcement Network)

  • Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)

  • PATRIOT Act

  • State money transmitter laws

All compliant services require KYC:

  • Coinbase ✅

  • Kraken ✅

  • Moonpay ✅

  • Dinario ✅

No exceptions.

What makes Dinario's KYC different?

KYC for compliance, NOT surveillance.

We verify: WHO you are (legally required) We protect: WHAT you own (privacy)

How:

  • Sumsub verifies your identity

  • Sumsub does NOT see your wallet addresses

  • Bridge sees the ephemeral wallet only

  • Your main wallet stays hidden

What information do you collect for KYC?

Required:

  • Government ID (passport, driver's license, etc.)

  • Selfie (liveness check)

  • Name, date of birth, address

NOT collected:

  • ❌ Your wallet addresses

  • ❌ Your holdings

  • ❌ Your transaction history

  • ❌ Your trading patterns

How long does KYC take?

Usually 5-10 minutes.

Process:

  1. Upload ID (1 min)

  2. Take selfie (1 min)

  3. Provide info (2 min)

  4. Automated review (5-10 min)

Total: ~10-15 minutes for most users

Manual review: 24-48 hours (rare, only if AI can't verify automatically)

Do I need to do KYC every time?

No. KYC is one-time only.

Once approved:

  • ✅ Status is saved

  • ✅ Future cash-outs skip KYC

  • ✅ No need to verify again (unless flagged)

Technical Questions

Is Dinario non-custodial?

Yes. Dinario never controls your funds.

You:

  • ✅ Control your private keys

  • ✅ Approve every transaction

  • ✅ Can reject before signing

Dinario:

  • ❌ Cannot access your wallet

  • ❌ Cannot move your funds without your permission

  • ❌ Cannot freeze your account

See Non-Custodial Model for details.

What happens to the ephemeral wallet after my transaction?

The ephemeral wallet is discarded.

Lifecycle:

  1. Created for your transaction

  2. Receives funds from your main wallet

  3. Executes swap (if needed)

  4. Sends USDC to Bridge

  5. Discarded (no longer used)

Privacy benefit: One-time wallet = unlinkable to future transactions

Can I reuse the same ephemeral wallet?

No. Each transaction generates a new ephemeral wallet.

Why: Reusing wallets would link transactions together, defeating privacy.

What if the transaction fails?

Rare, but possible.

If swap fails:

  • USDC remains in ephemeral wallet

  • We refund to your main wallet (minus gas fees)

If Bridge transfer fails:

  • USDC is returned by Bridge

  • We refund to your main wallet

You won't lose funds, but you may lose gas fees (~$0.00001 SOL).

Can I cancel after approving?

No. Once you sign the transaction, it's processed immediately by the smart contract.

Blockchain transactions are irreversible.

Prevention: Always review transaction details before signing!

Troubleshooting

My KYC was rejected. What do I do?

Common reasons:

  • ID is expired or invalid

  • Selfie doesn't match ID

  • Photo is blurry

  • Name on OFAC sanctions list

Solutions:

  • Use a different ID

  • Retake photos in good lighting

  • Ensure ID is valid and clear

  • Contact support if you believe it's an error

My bank deposit hasn't arrived. What do I do?

Check:

  1. Estimated arrival time - ACH takes 1-2 business days (not instant)

  2. Business days - Weekends/holidays don't count

  3. Bank account details - Verify you entered correctly

If still missing after 3 business days:

  • Check your transaction receipt (ephemeral wallet address)

  • Verify on Helius Orb that funds were sent to Bridge

  • Contact support with transaction ID

I entered the wrong bank account. Can I change it?

Before signing: Yes, just go back and edit.

After signing: No, transaction cannot be cancelled.

If funds went to wrong account:

  • Contact your bank (if it's your account with typo)

  • Contact Bridge support (we'll provide their info)

Prevention: Always double-check bank details before confirming!

The amount I received is less than expected. Why?

Check for:

  • ✅ 2% privacy fee (disclosed before confirmation)

  • ✅ Transfer fee (ACH ~$3, Wire ~$15, etc.)

  • ✅ Swap slippage (Jupiter swap may have slight variance)

  • ✅ Price movement (if token price changed during transaction)

Example:

  • Send: 10 SOL (~$2,000)

  • Swap to USDC: ~$1,998 (slippage)

  • Privacy fee (2%): -$40

  • ACH fee: -$3

  • You receive: ~$1,955

This is normal and disclosed before you confirm.

Safety & Best Practices

Is Dinario safe?

Dinario is beta software (not yet audited).

Safety measures:

  • ✅ Non-custodial (you control funds)

  • ✅ Open source (auditable code)

  • ✅ Licensed fiat partner (Bridge)

  • ✅ Encrypted KYC (Sumsub SOC 2)

Recommendations:

  • ✅ Start with small amounts ($50-100)

  • ✅ Verify on-chain (Helius Orb)

  • ✅ Test the process first

  • ✅ Then scale up

What's the maximum safe amount to cash out?

Technical limit: Based on your KYC tier ($10k-$100k)

Recommended:

  • Start with $50-100 (test)

  • Then $500-$1,000 (verify process works)

  • Then scale up to your comfort level

For large amounts ($10k+):

  • Use a hardware wallet (Ledger + Phantom)

  • Verify transaction details carefully

  • Consider splitting into multiple smaller transactions

How do I verify my transaction is legitimate?

Use Helius Orb:

  1. Paste ephemeral wallet address (from your receipt)

  2. See the transaction flow:

    • Your main wallet → Dinario contract

    • Dinario contract → Ephemeral wallet

    • Ephemeral wallet → Jupiter (swap)

    • Ephemeral wallet → Bridge (USDC transfer)

  3. Verify amounts match

  4. Search your main wallet → No link to ephemeral wallet ✅

If everything matches: Transaction is legitimate.

What if Dinario gets hacked?

Your funds are safe because:

  • ✅ Dinario is non-custodial (we don't hold your funds)

  • ✅ Your crypto is in YOUR wallet

  • ✅ Smart contract has no admin backdoors

Worst case:

  • Website goes down → Your crypto is safe in your wallet

  • Database compromised → No wallet private keys stored

  • Smart contract bug → Rare, but why we recommend starting small
